Dr.  Ambroes Pass-Turner is a Doctor of Counseling Psychology and owner of APT Counseling Services, LLC, a Mental and Behavioral Health agency and has been providing quality mental health services for over 20 years to adults, children, families, and the criminal justice system.

Dr. Pass-Turner is a professor and scholar practitioner with over 15 years of teaching experience and serves as chair of doctoral project committees in the Doctor of Psychology Program. She is a subject matter expert in the areas of trauma, forensic, “Why some survivors minimize their abuse: When this coping mechanism can be a good thing” and “How survivors’ advocates can avoid burnout”

As an author, Dr.  Pass-Turner has published several books ADHD Warrior: Helping Children Conquer ADHD Unwanted Behaviors, ADHD Warrior Activity book, Childhood Sexual Abuse: Pathway to Mental Health Issues and Delinquent Behaviors, Rex’s Journey: Helping Children Understand and Cope with Emotions, and “I Will Play with Me.” Her dissertation research on “Women Offenders Perception of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Interventions in Treating Childhood Sexual Abuse: Implication for Treatment” showcases her dedication to advancing the field.  Dr. Pass-Turner conducts accredited Professional Development workshops for mental health professionals emphasizing her dedication to enhancing the well-being of clients and clinicians.
